A little bit about us

Hello! My name is Catherine Embleton, the founder and creator of The Art Imaginarium which had it’s first ever holiday camp in the May half term in 2019. I have had a varied and diverse employment history but art is something l have always come back to and always loved. My creative journey was strongly influenced by my BA Hons Degree in Theatre Design at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, which is also where l found my love of art and circus. I have many years experience of doing art workshops with children, birthday parties and craft facilitation and l thought combining circus would work incredibly well. After witnessing how creativity has been restricted in mainstream education over the years, l wanted to create a holiday camp that was focused solely around arts & crafts, play, fun and creativity. l believe it is so integral for the healthy development of children.

My vision for the holiday camp was to create fun, diverse, engaging and creative activities where children can learn new skills, develop their creativity, improve their confidence, make new friends and most importantly, have fun in a safe and supportive environment.
